Concierge & Self-Pay — Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is concierge maternity care, and how is it different from regular prenatal care?

Concierge maternity care is a personalized, elevated model of prenatal care where you receive direct access to your physician, priority scheduling, and a higher level of attention throughout your pregnancy. At Yunella Women's Health, that means direct mobile and text access to Dr. Kim, continuity of care with the same physician from your first visit through delivery and postpartum, additional 3D/4D ultrasounds, and a private, spa-like environment — not a rushed appointment in a busy practice. Standard prenatal care is typically episodic, high-volume, and may involve rotating providers. Concierge care is intentional and centered around you.

2. Do you offer self-pay or out-of-network OB-GYN care in Los Angeles?

Yes. Many of our patients choose to work with us on a self-pay or out-of-network basis, particularly for our Concierge Maternity Program. For patients with out-of-network benefits, we can provide superbills for reimbursement submission. We are happy to discuss self-pay options and program structure during a private consultation.

3. How do I know if concierge OB-GYN care is right for me?

Concierge care is a strong fit if any of the following describes you: you want continuity with one physician throughout your entire pregnancy; you value same-day or priority access when concerns arise; you have a high-risk pregnancy requiring closer monitoring; you are a professional or public figure who requires privacy and discretion; or you have had previous experiences with rushed or impersonal prenatal care and want something different. Dr. Kim offers a private consultation where you can ask questions and decide if the program is the right fit.

4. Where is Yunella Women's Health located? Do you serve Beverly Hills patients?

We are located at 6330 San Vicente Blvd, Suite 418, Los Angeles, CA 90048 — in the Miracle Mile neighborhood, just minutes from Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Brentwood, and Century City. Ample parking is available on-site. We see patients from across the greater Los Angeles area.

5. What makes Dr. Kim different from other OB-GYNs in Los Angeles?

Dr. David Seil Kim, MD PhD brings nearly three decades of clinical experience, including 15 years at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, with particular expertise in high-risk pregnancies. He holds both an MD and a PhD, reflecting a rigorous academic foundation alongside his clinical practice. What sets Dr. Kim apart in practice is his commitment to genuine continuity — you see the same physician at every visit, he delivers your baby, and he provides postpartum follow-up. He keeps his patient panel intentionally limited so that no visit feels rushed.

6. What is included in the Concierge Maternity Program?

The Yunella Concierge Maternity Program includes: direct mobile phone and secure text access to Dr. Kim and the care team; priority scheduling with expedited appointments when clinically needed; continuity of care with Dr. Kim through pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum; up to four additional non-diagnostic 3D/4D bonding ultrasounds per month after 20 weeks; state-of-the-art prenatal ultrasound imaging; coordinated genetic and cell-free DNA screening; private exam rooms with Faraday shielding for conversation security; optional hospital pseudonym coordination for patients requiring enhanced confidentiality; and a calm, spa-like office environment. We invite you to schedule a private consultation to review the full program in detail.

7. Can I get a second opinion from Dr. Kim if I am currently seeing another OB-GYN?

Absolutely. We welcome second-opinion consultations, particularly for high-risk pregnancies, complex gynecologic conditions, or surgical planning. Many patients choose to transfer their care to Yunella Women's Health after an initial consultation. Please bring any relevant records, imaging, or test results from your current provider.
