Standard microneedling creates micro-injuries at the surface to trigger the skin’s repair response. RF microneedling adds radiofrequency energy delivered at a chosen depth beneath the surface, which tightens existing collagen and stimulates new collagen without damaging the skin above it. That is what makes it appropriate for texture, enlarged pores, acne scarring and early laxity.

Radiofrequency energy does not target pigment the way many lasers do, which substantially lowers the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation in deeper skin tones. Whether it is appropriate for you is assessed at your consultation.

There is no single date. Most people are cleared for elective skin treatment after their postpartum check, and many do better waiting longer, because abdominal skin continues to retract on its own for months and treating too early means treating a moving target. Because Yunella is an obstetric practice, the person assessing your skin can also see where you are in recovery. You will not be scheduled before your body is ready.

The honest answer is that there is no controlled data. Botulinum toxin is injected in very small amounts into muscle and is not expected to reach breast milk in a meaningful way, but no study has been done to prove that, so no one can tell you it is proven safe. Many patients choose to wait until they have finished breastfeeding, and we think that is a reasonable choice. We will talk it through rather than give you a blanket yes or no.

It can improve them. It does not erase them. RF microneedling remodels the collagen inside the mark, which softens the texture and makes the edges less defined. Newer marks that are still pink or red generally respond better than older, pale, silvery ones. Anyone promising removal is overselling it.

It is treated with pelvic floor and core physical therapy, and in some cases surgical repair. RF microneedling works on skin. If what is bothering you is the muscle rather than the skin, we will tell you so and point you to the right care instead of selling you a series you do not need.

Yes. The device is used on the abdomen, arms, thighs, neck and décolletage as well as the face. Body areas are larger, so sessions take longer and usually need more of them than a face series.
